My name is Patrick, I live in France and I went to a developer school a long time ago.
I have worked in different companies for 20 years now, always as a computer expert.
In 2004, I got my first job as an IT technician. During this period I improved my skills in development and created a few tools for the company (mostly using web languages like PHP).
Four years later, I moved to a new company, to work as a developer and an IT technician (70%/30%).
I learned many things on PHP, MySQL and Linux. By doing the users support, I also tried many tools and software between two stupid problems.
I worked in this company for 12 years (yes, it’s a long time!), 100% as a system administrator, and was leading a team of 3 persons.
I’m now a full-time blogger thanks to your support and can dedicate all my time to my passion and improve my websites 🙂
About this site
I create MD5Online in 2012 (an eternity in the online world) as an experiment to see how many words I could store to revert MD5 hashes. It’s now one of the biggest websites related to MD5. But I’m also interested in other topics related to cybersecurity as a whole (user protection, pen testing, passwords management, system and networks security, etc.).
That’s why I created this site, to share my experience and findings with you, about anything related to security on our network and computer. I hope you’ll find what you are looking for, as the ultimate goal is to help you in this field.
InfosecScout is not my only website, I’m also working on many other websites (in French and English).
You can check my website at PatrickFromaget.com to get further information about me and these websites.
We may have some common passions 🙂
